We all now how boring this is, but please read this stuff as it is important:
Copyright and ownership
Everything in this site such as music, video, photos, text, artwork, belongs to BROCKER and/or people related to the band. You are free to share any information about this page and its contents, play our music and pass it to your friends as long as you give us credit for it. So yeah, don’t go around playing our songs and telling people they are yours because that makes you fucking lame. If you want to make music get your ass off the sofa and start a band. It’s actually quite fun.
Contact forms
Every time you submit your info through a contact form/shop order, we get your email (duh!), which contains your name, email address, etc. We keep that data on our site so we can get back to you and reference orders made through the shop. Also, because you can create an account, we keep the data on the site so you can see your order history. If you want us to remove it, let us know.
We will never make your details public or pass it on to third parties. End of.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small pieces of data sent from a website and stored in a user’s web browser while the user is browsing that website.
We use cookies because it enables us to track visits to our site. This doesn’t tell us who you are or stores any personal information about you. We don’t sell the information collected by cookies, nor do we disclose the information to third parties.
If you don’t want to receive cookies, you can also modify your browser so that it notifies you when cookies are sent to it or you can refuse cookies altogether. You can also delete cookies that have already been set.
If you wish to restrict or block web browser cookies which are set on your device then you can do this through your browser settings; the Help function within your browser should tell you how. And if you are all confused and panicking going like WTF?, you may want to visit www.aboutcookies.org, which contains information on how to do this on a wide variety of desktop browsers.
Buying online
To sell our merch we use our own custom shop. Our website is secured with a 128bit SSL encryption. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral. To make sure you are getting a secure page, check that on the address bar of your browser you see two things: the address starts with “httpS://” – the “S” stands for secure – and there’s a little icon of a padlock.
To process payments we use Stripe and PayPal. Stripe is great for paying directly with your credit card and PayPal, we tend to think you already know them. Here at Brocker we prefer Stripe as it takes less fees from us when processing payments, but if you want to use PayPal we don’t have a problem with that.
You see? It wasn’t that bad and boring in the end. We even bet you learned something.
